Brimar is a three bedroom cottage-style house located in West Bay, Dorset in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Ideally situated in a quiet area just a short distance from West Bay’s picturesque harbour, glorious coastline and beaches, and West Dorset and Bridport Golf Course. It is also only a 20 minute walk to the vibrant historic market town of Bridport.

The accommodation provides an excellent base for to explore the stunning Jurassic Coast or the beautiful Dorset countryside, or indeed, just enjoying the numerous pubs and restaurants in the area.

A lovely children’s play area for under 10’s overlooking the countryside towards West Bay is a few metres from the house. A superb award winning larger play area for all ages (up to 99 years old) can be found 5 minutes walk away near the old West Bay train station.

Explore West Bay and the Jurassic Coastline

West Bay is the gateway to the Jurassic Coast. It lies just to the south of the historic market town of Bridport, and at the western end of Chesil Beach.

We had a wonderful stay at Brimar. The house has everything you need and is kept in a good condition. Brian is an excellent host and we appreciated the thoughtful touches such as milk in the fridge, and all the essentials as well as scrumptious moores biscuits! The in person meet and greet was a really nice touch and made us feel really welcome. The property is in a great location too, really quiet and peaceful but just a short stroll to West Bay and a 30 minute walk along the old railway line to Bridport town centre. Cannot recommend this place enough!

We wanted a break away from our hectic life and wow we got it ,Brian was there to let us in despite us being later than planned, the place was so peaceful, clean and walking distance to the beach which we did several times and included a cliff walk with great views and a short drive into Bridport on market day(Wednesday) using Brian’s advised parking. A perfect chill out.

We had a wonderful stay at Brimar. The children loved the cottage, the location (walk to the beach) and it was easy to get into Bridport town. Brian was super helpful always and we felt taken care of. We’d recommend staying at the cottage wholeheartedly!

Our stay at BRIMAR was just perfect. The house is so homely and comfortable. It had everything we needed and is so close to the beach. The stunning views can also be seen from the house and at night to can hear the sea washing up on to the shore. So peaceful. Looking forward to staying again. Thank you, Brian and Margaret x

The house is really well located a short walk to West Bay and a slightly longer one to Bridport. There’s a shop with good opening hours just around the corner and lots of parking.

We’d definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Brimar Cottage over the Christmas period. There was plenty of room for 4 adults. It was in a good location for walking down to the bay and local restaurants. We particularly loved listening to the birds on the feeders at the house next door. The beds and bedding were very comfy and it was so quiet at night. Thanks very much Brian.

Brimar was a comfortable stay in a perfect location for exploring on foot, we didn’t move the car all week! The house was what we needed with plenty of space for two adults and two teenagers.

We would definitely recommend this Airbnb with friendly and helpful hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay at Brian’s! The place was exactly what we needed – quiet, very close to west bay, well equipped, including high chair/cot/stairgate!
Brian greeted us on arrival giving us a quick run through of the house, where closest shop was and his favourite chippy! On his recommendation we visited Bridport market and we absolutely loved it.
We will definitely visit this area again and Brian’s place will be at the top of our list!

We loved our stay here at Brian’s. The house provided ample space for our family of 4. We arrived earlier expecting to be out all day but as Brian was so flexible with check in, we were able to go to the house and unload the car before setting out for the day. There was plenty of local information available to guide us from recommended eateries to taxi numbers which we took of advantage of. Overall, we loved our stay and will be back again soon.
